Bangalore Location

The city is located southeast of Karnataka. The city is surrounded and boundaried by sevarl districts of the state. On the north-east lies Kolar district and on the north-west lies Tumkur district.

Tamil Nadu is situated on the south-east of the city. The Geographical location of the city lies 12.97 degree N and 77.56 Degree East. The area spreads approximately 920 m and covers around 2190 sq km.

The city is divided into three urban districts and these are north Bangalore, South Bangalore and Anekal. The nature, vegetation, area and features of these differ from each other. You would find a stark difference between the northern Bangalore to Southern part. The Northe of the city is plain lands while the south of Bangalore is hilly area. The water supply of the city has ample of resources. The kaveri basin is one of the sources of water supply to the areas for agriculture. Arkavathi is another water reservoir which waters the plants as well supplies water to the city.

A very strange feature of the city is its natural rock formation in the Peninsular Gneissic Complex, which consists of ample of gneisses, granites and migmatites.The vegetation and green forests are deciduous with coconut trees. On the whole the city provides a very pleasant climate throughout the year.
